The new roof Complete!
3rd July - all the woodwork is complete - first delivery of lead arrived on site today
14th June - all the rafters are now back in place
28th May - The rafters begin to go back into place - a mixture of old and new ones.
28th May - The new ridge beam is in place.
28th May - The tiles are now back on the chapel and chancel roofs.
18th May - The new wall plates for the North wall are in place.
18th May - The chancel and chapel roofs have been felted and battened - the tiles are ready to put on
15th May - a new lead valley gutter has been installed between chancel and chapel.
15th May - the old ridge has been removed
15th May - all the old rafters have now been removed
10th May - the old rafters begin to be removed
27th April - Repairs to the gable end are complete!
20th April The Cross is returned to the top of the gable end.
19th April - Main ridge beam. Note the side beams do not connect with the ridge.
19th April - reconstruction of the gable end nearing completion - shuttering is being removed.
9th April 2002 - work underway to reconstruct the gable end of the Nave above the Chancel. A brick lining is being constructed and this will carry a flint exterior

Work begins to demolish the top of the wall between Nave and Chancel which is "live".

The ladder is in one of the bays damaged by fire 30 or 40 years ago. All rafters here need to be replaced in oak.
