Our Church Building

Our historic church celebrates 910 years in 2021.

Within its walls, generations of Codicote residents have brought their lives to God in worship, prayer and thanksgiving.  They have shared their joys and sorrows, made celebration and sought comfort.

All are welcome here!

Whilst protecting our heritage, we plan to improve the south-west area of the church making it easily accessible for young and old and opening up additional space for refreshment and activity.

You can explore the detailed plans and fuller explanation of the needs of the church by viewing the Plan and Statement of Needs.  The works are to be phased, with the accessible WC, kitchen, servery, vestry and flexible welcome space being undertaken first. Relocation of the font and sound desk, levelling of the porch and re-painting of the walls are in future phases.

The plans and statement can be seen in the church, online, or see the contact details below for a paper version.

Thank you for supporting our heritage and community in Codicote.

The Public Consultation for our Church improvements project runs from 14th  March to 11th April.

The Revised Plan and Statement which explains why the changes are needed are available to view below

They can also be viewed in church according to service times from the 14th March 2021 (Sundays This Month)

If you would like to see the plan and statement and can’t access them by either of these means, please contact us for a paper version.
